Leo Messi has gathered the prize that accolades him as the top goalscorer in European countries for the 2011/12 period
He obtained it from Luis Suárez, who described him as “the substance of football”
Leo Messi now has two Fantastic Start awards, the second gathered these days after reviewing an unbelievable 50 objectives in La Liga 2011/12. But the Argentinian knows he could never have won it alone. “This is a group prize” he was adament. “I always say that when an personal victories something like this. That is a reality, and this one more than any. It is a prize for reviewing objectives, but I’d never have done it without my team-mates”.
Asked which objectives intended the most to him, Messi responded “the most essential ones: the ones in the Supercup, the Groups Globe Cup, and the Copa del Rey”, because they all intended victories at the end of a competitors.
Luis Suárez: “He’s modified history”
The Barça striker gathered the prize from Luis Suárez, a Fantastic Start champion himself in 1961, when at Barça. He was complete of compliment for Leo Messi: “He has everything a gamer needs, rate, expertise and objectives. He’s modified record, he is the substance of football”.
